Mystic Tie Fellowcraft

January 2012 – District Update
HAGGIS! As Robbie Burns Day falls in January, that month has become the occasion of the annual Scottish celebration at New Light 744. The event was sold out, address to the haggis, bagpipes and all, and a good time was had by those who attended.
January is also always the occasion of a number of installations within the district…
Allan Graystone – 50 Years a Past Master

On Feb. 8, 2012, W. Bro. Allan Graystone, Past Master of Preston Lodge No.297, received a 50 year a past master pin and plaque at a meeting of Temple Lodge No. 597, London where he now resides. RW Bro. David Cameron happened to be there and so congratulated W. Bro. Graystone on behalf of Waterloo District.
Waterloo 539 Installation
This January W. Bro Bob Gregory was installed into the East, at Waterloo 539. RW Bro. Brian Lowery was present for the installation and the investiture of the new year’s officers, following which the brethren and visitors were very appreciative of the many full trays of homemade lasagna, thanks to some of the lodge members wives!

LEIGH, Alan Edward Suddenly on Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital, in his 64th year. He will be missed by wife Renate, daughter Tatiana, son-in-law Tom, grandson Marcus and arriving soon granddaughter Sonja; daughter Yoshe, son-in-law Roger and grandson Tristan. Funeral is on Monday, February 6th, at Church of Latter-Day Saints, 10 Lorraine Ave., Kitchener, at 11 a.m
December 2011 – District History
Concord Lodge 722 saw the installation of W. Bro. Colin Goheen in the east, as part of the ceremony of the evening at the Cambridge Temple in Hespeler,.
The installation was assisted by both V.W. Bro Dave Walden, as well as Colin’s father V.W. Bro Ralph Goheen.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at home in Seaforth, at the age of 80 on Saturday, January 14, 2012, in the evening. He was born July 18, 1931 in Brant County.
